Cora Zillich

Cora is a communications specialist with twenty years experience in devising and successfully delivering communications strategies and campaigns in international, multi-cultural contexts and across diverse industries, events and organisations.

A multi-lingual, German-Australian dual citizen, Cora has lived and worked in various countries including Germany, Australia, Italy, the Netherlands and in the USA.  She started her corporate communications career at multinational corporations such as BMW and Deutsche Bank and held senior leadership roles in the European energy sector before her passion for sport saw her move into the sporting and major events industry.

Cora is a straight-shooting digital marketer and social media advocate, with a love for high profile, high tempo events, including World Championships, World Cup Series and Olympic and Paralympic Games.  An ex-national team rower herself, she held the role of Media Manager for both the German and Australian national rowing teams, worked as Media and PR-consultant for the World Rowing Federation FISA, as Venue Media Manager at the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games and was the Communications and Sponsorship Manager of the Australian Sailing Team leading into Rio.

Cora brings substantial awareness of sport, sporting events and unrivalled know-how of media and communications management as well as first-hand knowledge of athlete psychology.

She is a remarkable woman in her professional and private life;  In 2008, she recovered from having cancer and is now an ambassador for Australian cycling-charity Tour de Cure and an active and healthy lifestyle advocate.  She sits on the World Paddle Awards Academy and when not working at events, she loves, running and country-life in the Victorian Grampians with her dog Ronj(i)a.
