SoldOut Events has been appointed as creative production partner to Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras and logistics manager of the hallmark Mardi Gras Parade on 6 March 2021 at the Sydney Cricket Ground, following a highly competitive pitch against global agencies.
The multi-year contract with the Mardi Gras Festival is yet another sequin on SoldOut’s jacket, following 27 years of multi international-award-winning events across Australia, including the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, American Express delicious. Month Out 2020 and hundreds of brand activation campaigns, annually.
Speaking on the appointment of SoldOut Events as an Official Supporter and Supplier, the CEO of Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, Mr Albert Kruger, welcomed the inclusion of SoldOut Events and is looking forward to a dynamic and creative partnership.

The appointment to the Mardi Gras Festival also marks a very special association on both a personal and professional level for SoldOut’s Managing Director Mr Kim-Daniel Voss and Chief Commercial Officer Mr Thomas B. Staunton, who married in 2019.

The Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Festival will be held from Friday 19 February to Sunday 7 March 2021. The highly anticipated and much-loved Mardi Gras Parade will take place on Saturday 6 March at the Sydney Cricket Ground and will unite the LGBTQI+ communities through the theme of RISE.
